I studied Archaeology and Anthropology, and I specialised in archaeological science.
We covered zooarchaeology – that’s the study of animal remains from archaeological sites, archaeobotany – plants from ancient contexts, biomolecular archaeology – using isotopes and genetics to address our questions, and geoarchaeology – the study of soils and land formation in archaeological settings. I ended up being an archaeobotanist, and now work on sites all over the world, but mainly in South Asia, looking at the Bronze Age.
