      Hi!

My biggest accomplishment was giving up my career as a make-up artist and going to University to study plant science.
It completely changed my life and I have had some awesome experiences as a scientist from travelling to meeting all kinds of passionate people.

Going on my first excavation abroad. It was a really big challenge – going away without my parents, staying away for 8 weeks, working somewhere I didn’t know the language all the time, and working on an excavation where I wasn’t just learning but actually had responsibility for what I did and found. It was, however, one of the best experiences of my life and a huge achievement to ‘survive’ it, and by the end I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my career – study archaeological plants.
