I’ve always wanted to be an archaeologist ever since I found a pot in the garden of our new house when I was 7. I just wanted to know how old it was, what it was used for and who made it.

But I didn’t think I was going to be a scientist while I was at school, all I knew is I wanted to be an archaeologist. It wasn’t until I went on excavation when I was 19 and worked on separating seeds from soil that I realised I wanted to know more about them and decided to do the archaeological science course.
